§ 15-7. Parking for certain purposes.

  • (a)

    No person shall park a motor vehicle on any street for the purpose of display or for the purpose of washing or repairing it.

    (b)

    Subsection (a) shall not apply to emergency repairs.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a semitrailer truck or tractor-trailer or its cargo trailer on any street for any purpose or period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading, delivery or pickup of materials on any city street and during which time the operator, attendant or driver of said vehicle shall be present and actively engaged in that loading or unloading activity during the entire time that said vehicle is parked on the city street. A semitrailer truck or tractor-trailer is defined here to include those vehicles having three axles, the front, or "steer" axle having two wheels, and each of the two rear "drive" axles having a pair of "dualies" (double) wheels on each side.
