§ VII. [Building permits.]

Building permits shall be required as follows:
No building or other structure shall be erected, moved, added to or structurally altered without a permit issued therefor for a single residence family dwelling unit to be issued by the administrative official designated by said board of alderman. No building permit shall be issued except in conformity with the provisions of this ordinance. The lot and the location of the building designated as a single family residence dwelling unit thereon shall be staked out on the ground and approved by the building inspector before any construction begins.
